1.
2. FEATURES OF PREDICT
TAMMA is a systemic seed treatment insecticide.
TAMMA protects against target pests by interfering with
receptors that transmit the message to continue feeding.
TAMMA acts on different sites of action in the insect.
3. FEATURES OF PREDICT
TAMMA acts on differnt sites of action in the insect.
TAMMA provides control of a wide range of early season
sucking and chewing,leaf-feeding and soli-dwelling insect
pests,such as aphids, wireworms,ea beetles,and leaf

5. Disease: Aphids
Laboratory bioassays have demonstrated that cotton
aphids are resistant to organophosphate pesticides in
many areas Of the Sari Joaquin Valley. M any of the
aphids are resistant before they reach newly em erged
cotton; their resistance tends to decline at the end of
the season. The best managem ent strategy:
Avoid using pesticides in spring when they are least
effective and natural enemies are abundant, and use
pesticides at the end of the season to prevent sticky
cotton bolls.
Sticky honeydew from cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii)
encourages sooty mold growth on cotton bolls.
Aphid-related dam age to the cotton fibre can m ake

Abstract
TARGET DISEASES
Aphids - (Aphis spp.)
6. TARGET DISEASES
W hite Flies : (Bemisia tabaci)
Be especially alert for rapid whitefly buildup
when nearby host crops are in decline.
Sticky traps may be useful for detecting
whitefly movement into cotton fields.
Timely insecticide treatment prevents
outbreaks and reduces the chance of sticky
cotton and yield loss.
Disease: Whitefilies
Scouting and D ecision-
7. Jassids : ( Amrasca biguttula )
Disease: Jassids
Jassids (Leafhoppers)
Attack cotton seedlings and new shoots
but prefre to feed on the upper surface of
on the upper surface of m ature leaves
from flowering onwards causing stippling
effect on leaves.
Heavy feeding results in “hopper burn “
which is caused by the toxic effect of the
insects saliva.
