•Seafloor age constraint: continents and plate-like behavior are needed for
young seafloor “subduction”


• Formation of plate boundaries and continental aggregation/dispersal
change the age distribution


• Time dependence of the distribution is the rule


• Distribution changes its shape through Wilson cycles
