Jakub Jozwiakowski completed a 3-hour free online course on the effects of pollutants on the aquatic environment offered by OpenLearn. The course discussed major sources of water pollution like sewage, manufacturing, farming, landfills, and urban runoff. It also examined common pollutants like organic materials, plant nutrients, and toxic, physical, and biological pollutants; and their impacts on aquatic environments. On April 7, 2016 Jakub received a statement of participation confirming he passed all mandatory tests for the course.

Course summary
Effects of pollutants on the aquatic environment
is a free course. It begins with an introduction to
water and goes on to briefly outline the major
sources of water pollution (these being sewage
works, manufacturing and industrial plants, the
farming and animal husbandry sectors, landfill
sites and urban surface water run-off). It
