The document is an extended essay that investigates arranged marriage in Indian society. It begins by defining arranged marriage and providing a historical overview of the practice. It then examines arranged marriage specifically in India, noting it is deeply embedded in Indian culture and tightly connected to the family and caste system. The essay explores why arranged marriage remains widespread in India, arguing it is sustained by the unique Indian social structure which emphasizes rigid family roles, restrictions on individualism, and gender norms that give low status to women.

There was a time when planning and managing enterprise content was "just" complicated. We had a lot of content, and it had to be structured, stored, and governed.
And then, things got chaotic. Content became available through social media and mobile apps. Everything turned versatile. We were not the sole producers of technical content: users, experts, anybody could publish articles or videos. And, we soon faced an unpredictable tidal wave of content.
If we want to surf that wave, we must rethink content strategy. We now need to think of content as a complex system, where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. At IBM, we have tested a new approach to content strategy, based on the principles of agile and design thinking.
In this presentation, you will learn:
- How to govern the content creation process across silos and leverage existing resources.
- How to audit versatile content and detect opportunities quickly.
- How to plan for the long term and maintain focus in an uncertain business context.

They analyzed customer profiles and divided them into themes of small space living, families, and organization. IKEA designs showrooms with residential and office spaces to inspire different living styles within customers' limited spaces. They use catalogues, interior designers, and visual teams to arrange furniture within set templates and themes. IKEA focuses on globalization through standardized design rules across stores and sourcing products worldwide through suppliers rather than internal production.
1. The document summarizes a case study conducted by the student at Gloria Jean's Café located in Arsia Shopping Mall on two different dates - Sunday, November 12th and Tuesday, December 20th.
2. On both visits, the student observed the activities, people, and functions within the café. They also took photos and analyzed different subspaces within the café based on ergonomic standards.
3. The first subspace analyzed was a seating area in the sun porch, where the student had unpleasant experiences eating cake and writing due to uncomfortable furniture and cigarette smoke in the area.
Gaetano Pesce is an important 21st century designer known for works like the Up Series chair that used new materials and improved views of furniture. Pesce designed the Up Chair to emphasize the important role of women in society by making it curvilinear and organic. He also pioneered new production techniques like molding polyurethane foam and applying PVC. The student designers were inspired by Pesce's use of new materials and manufacturing processes. They aim to design furniture that raises awareness of issues facing women in Turkey using sustainable ABS plastic through innovative production methods.
This document contains observations from multiple locations on how spatial design impacts people's feelings of privacy, crowding, and social interaction. Partitions, curtains, and separate units were noted as providing privacy in medical rooms and retail spaces. The height and seating placement in a concert hall reduced feelings of crowding. A hospital's high density and overlapping functions created an improperly defined space. Furniture arrangement in seating areas was seen to increase or decrease social interaction among people.
The document presents information on airports, airlines, and banks. It discusses the Hong Kong International Airport and Mardin Airport, providing details on their history, facilities, and design. It also profiles the airline Atlasglobal, including its name change and partnership with SkyTeam lounges. Finally, it analyzes the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, covering its meaning, history, logo, and branch interiors.
The document provides a detailed description of the narrator's old apartment located in Ankara, Turkey. It describes each of the 4 bedrooms, the kitchen and living room areas. Specific details are given about the narrator's bedroom, including the dark lighting, built-in furniture that took up much of the space, and wallpaper they had selected. The document also discusses the close-knit community of family members who lived in neighboring apartments.
The document summarizes observations of different people in a chocolate aisle of a grocery store. A family with a father, mother and toddler daughter browsed the aisle, with the daughter wanting to touch all the chocolates but leaving empty-handed. A woman quickly selected a bitter chocolate. An older woman slowly considered options before choosing the cheapest chocolate with her grandson. Two women, one younger and heavier and one older and heavier, had different approaches to selection - the older choosing a light product quickly and leaving while the younger carefully compared prices before a small selection.
Dolmabahçe Palace was commissioned in 1843 by Sultan Abdülmecid I and designed by architect Garabed Balyan in the style of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. Located along the Bosporus in Istanbul, it served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 until the empire's dissolution in 1922. The palace has huge gardens and features opulent decorations including marble, crystal chandeliers, and Hereke carpets. Today it operates as a museum, preserving the legacy of the Ottoman court.
This document discusses the use of the Pythagorean theorem in Egyptian pyramids. It provides three proofs of the Pythagorean theorem and applies it to calculate various elements of the Khufu pyramid such as its slant height, edge length, and original and current volumes. It finds that the pyramid's volume has decreased by approximately 137,000 cubic meters due to erosion over time.

This lab report investigates the relationship between the distance and time it takes for dominoes to fall in a chain reaction. The experiment measured the falling time of 10 dominoes placed at distances of 1-5 cm. The results showed that as the distance between dominoes increased, the average falling time also increased from 0.82 seconds at 1 cm to 1.35 seconds at 5 cm. A graph of these results displayed a direct proportional relationship between distance and time. The report concludes that the hypothesis that increasing distance leads to increasing falling time was supported. It suggests improvements such as using a pendulum to apply a more consistent initial force to the dominoes.
This lab report investigates the relationship between the number of spaghetti strands and the applied force needed to break them. The experiment involved placing different numbers of spaghetti strands (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) on a platform and measuring the force required to break them using a dynamometer. The results showed that as the number of spaghetti strands increased, the average applied breaking force also increased. A direct proportional relationship between the number of spaghetti strands and applied force was determined. The hypothesis that increasing the number of spaghetti strands would increase the breaking force was supported.
1) The student conducted an experiment to determine the relationship between the mass of different antacid medicines (Rennie, Kompensan, Talcid) and the volume of hydrochloric acid needed for titration. Different masses of each medicine were reacted with hydrochloric acid and the volume required was measured.
2) The results were presented in tables showing the raw data and averages from multiple trials. As the mass of each medicine increased, the volume of hydrochloric acid needed for titration also increased.
3) Of the three medicines tested, Talcid required the greatest volume of hydrochloric acid on average, indicating it was the most effective at reducing acidity.
The document describes an experiment that investigated how surface area affects evaporation rate. Three containers with different surface areas (150 cm^2, 384 cm^2, 864 cm^2) were filled with 50 mL of water and the volume remaining was measured every 2 minutes for 10 minutes. The results showed that as surface area increased, the evaporation rate also increased - containers with larger surface areas had lower volumes remaining after each time interval. This supports the hypothesis that increasing surface area increases evaporation rate by providing more surface for water molecules to transition from liquid to gas.
fakat işin can alıcı noktası detayların çok yaratıcı olması.
