This study used electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) to detect trace amounts of pesticides on various produce samples. The ESI-MS was used to directly infuse homogenized produce samples and identify specific pesticide ions. Several pesticides were detected in the ppb range on different produce, including kale, apples, spinach, oranges, and orange peels. The conclusions state that using an internal standard and coupling with liquid chromatography could improve quantification, and further studies analyzing additional pesticides and produce are warranted.

Nanofluids are the dispersion of nano-sized particles into base fluids. Nanofluids have wide scope for applying as coolant in many of the engineering fields because of its higher thermal conductivity and more desirable thermal properties. Numerous mathematical models and experimental models have been proposed to predict the thermo physical properties for the past two decades. It has been noticed that many discrepancies between the mathematical and experimental results of thermo physical properties of nanofluids, in particular, thermal conductivity and viscosity. To mitigate those discrepancies, Intelligent Techniques with flexible mathematical structure that is capable of identifying complex non-linear relationships between input and output data were utilized to accurately predict the thermal properties of nanofluids. The data mining model based on genetic neural network has been widely applied to the procedure of data mining on thermal physical properties of nanofluids to acquire the pattern knowledge. This paper is to review the thermal conductivity of nanofluids research publications which are inter linked with soft computing tools. The outcome of this review shall lead to optimize the nanofluids properties while applying heat transfer nanofluids and to reduce the experimental test runs and number of hypothesis posed by different investigators.

In the present study, poly(amidoamine)/5-fluorouracil (PAMAM/5-FU) was prepared and used as
a conjugate system for delivering drugs to target E6 and E7 oncoproteins, which are predominant in
cervical cancers. Specifically, molecular docking analysis was used to investigate the interaction
between the PAMAM/5-FU and E6/E7 oncoproteins, which showed that the PAMAM/5-FU conjugate
had a higher affinity for the oncoprotein than for 5-FU. Different generations of PAMAM dendrimers
(0.5G, 1.0G, 1.5G, 2.0G, and 2.5G) were synthesized, characterized and tested as drug carriers for 5-
FU. The PAMAM and PAMAM/5-FU drug conjugate showed less toxicity over COS-7 and HeLa cell
lines. Laser confocal imaging and western blotting for tumor suppressor proteins pRb and p53 were
used to confirm the interaction of PAMAM/5-FU with E6/E7 oncoproteins. Hematological analysis of
PAMAM/5-FU using BALB/c female mice with cervical cancer confirmed the less toxic nature of this
material. Based on these results, the developed PAMAM/5-FU conjugate is a potential candidate for
the treatment of cervical cancer.

The effective therapeutic solution for treating the disease is using new and probable antagonistic biologically available ligands as anticancer drugs. To identify a successful therapeutic approach, the scientific community is now interested in creating novel ligands that in the future may be used as anticancer drugs. The mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a protein kinase connected to several processes governing immunity, metabolism, cell development, and survival. The proliferation and metastasis of tumors have both been linked to the activation of the mTOR pathway. Female breast cancer represents about 15.3% of all new cancer cases in the U.S. alone and is frequently diagnosed among women aged 55 to 69 years. Given that the P13K/AKT/mTOR pathway is one of the most often activated in cancer, much attention has been paid to its resistance as a novel oncological treatment approach. mTOR/FRB Domain’s recruitment cleft as, well as substrate recruitment mechanism, was targeted using a structural-based approach. A series of selective inhibitory small molecules have been designed and screened for the best inhibiting target binding triad of the FRB Domain with better ADME and no detectable toxic effects.

Objective(s):
To improve water stability of electrospun chitosan/ Polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofibers, genipin, a biocompatible and nontoxic agent, was used to crosslink chitosan based nanofibers.
Materials and Methods:
Different amounts of genipin were added to the chitosan/PEO solutions, chitosan/PEO weight ratio 90/10 in 80 % acetic acid, and the solutions were then electrospun to form nanofibers. The spun nanofibers were exposed to water vapor to complete crosslinking. The nanofibrous membranes were subjected to detailed analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR) spectroscopy, swelling test, MTT cytotoxicity, and cell attachment.
Results:
SEM images of electrospun mats showed that genipin-crosslinked nanofibers retained their fibrous structure after immerging in PBS (pH=7.4) for 24 hours, while the uncrosslinked samples lost their fibrous structure, indicating the water stability of genipin-crosslinked nanofibers. The genipin-crosslinked mats also showed no significant change in swelling ratio in comparison with uncrosslinked ones. FTIR-ATR spectrum of uncrosslinked and genipin-crosslinked chitosan nanofibers revealed the reaction between genipin and amino groups of chitosan. Cytotoxicity of genipin-crosslinked nanofibers was examined by MTT assay on human fibroblast cells in the presence of nanofibers extraction media. The genipin-crosslinked nanofibers did not show any toxic effects on fibroblast cells at the lowest and moderate amount of genipin. The fibroblast cells also showed a good adhesion on genipin-crosslinked nanofibers.
Conclusion:
This electrospun matrix would be used for biomedical applications such as wound dressing and scaffold for tissue engineering without the concern of toxicity.techniques used in Metabolite profiling of bryophytes ppt

It utilized core hopping to generate 10,000 structures by varying the core while keeping functional groups constant. Docking and binding energies were calculated for subsets of compounds down to the top 8 ligands. Results show several compounds have more favorable predicted binding than the control TDI inhibitor, warranting further optimization and testing of lead compounds.

In the present study, poly(amidoamine)/5-fluorouracil (PAMAM/5-FU) was prepared and used as
a conjugate system for delivering drugs to target E6 and E7 oncoproteins, which are predominant in
cervical cancers. Specifically, molecular docking analysis was used to investigate the interaction
between the PAMAM/5-FU and E6/E7 oncoproteins, which showed that the PAMAM/5-FU conjugate
had a higher affinity for the oncoprotein than for 5-FU. Different generations of PAMAM dendrimers
(0.5G, 1.0G, 1.5G, 2.0G, and 2.5G) were synthesized, characterized and tested as drug carriers for 5-
FU. The PAMAM and PAMAM/5-FU drug conjugate showed less toxicity over COS-7 and HeLa cell
lines. Laser confocal imaging and western blotting for tumor suppressor proteins pRb and p53 were
used to confirm the interaction of PAMAM/5-FU with E6/E7 oncoproteins. Hematological analysis of
PAMAM/5-FU using BALB/c female mice with cervical cancer confirmed the less toxic nature of this
material. Based on these results, the developed PAMAM/5-FU conjugate is a potential candidate for
the treatment of cervical cancer.

Worldwide breast cancer causes significant fatalities in women. The effective therapeutic solution for treating the disease is using new and probable antagonistic biologically available ligands as anticancer drugs. To identify a successful therapeutic approach, the scientific community is now interested in creating novel ligands that in the future may be used as anticancer drugs. The mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a protein kinase connected to several processes governing immunity, metabolism, cell development, and survival. The proliferation and metastasis of tumors have both been linked to the activation of the mTOR pathway. Female breast cancer represents about 15.3% of all new cancer cases in the U.S. alone and is frequently diagnosed among women aged 55 to 69 years. Given that the P13K/AKT/mTOR pathway is one of the most often activated in cancer, much attention has been paid to its resistance as a novel oncological treatment approach. mTOR/FRB Domain’s recruitment cleft as, well as substrate recruitment mechanism, was targeted using a structural-based approach. A series of selective inhibitory small molecules have been designed and screened for the best inhibiting target binding triad of the FRB Domain with better ADME and no detectable toxic effects.

Objective(s):
To improve water stability of electrospun chitosan/ Polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofibers, genipin, a biocompatible and nontoxic agent, was used to crosslink chitosan based nanofibers.
Materials and Methods:
Different amounts of genipin were added to the chitosan/PEO solutions, chitosan/PEO weight ratio 90/10 in 80 % acetic acid, and the solutions were then electrospun to form nanofibers. The spun nanofibers were exposed to water vapor to complete crosslinking. The nanofibrous membranes were subjected to detailed analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR) spectroscopy, swelling test, MTT cytotoxicity, and cell attachment.
Results:
SEM images of electrospun mats showed that genipin-crosslinked nanofibers retained their fibrous structure after immerging in PBS (pH=7.4) for 24 hours, while the uncrosslinked samples lost their fibrous structure, indicating the water stability of genipin-crosslinked nanofibers. The genipin-crosslinked mats also showed no significant change in swelling ratio in comparison with uncrosslinked ones. FTIR-ATR spectrum of uncrosslinked and genipin-crosslinked chitosan nanofibers revealed the reaction between genipin and amino groups of chitosan. Cytotoxicity of genipin-crosslinked nanofibers was examined by MTT assay on human fibroblast cells in the presence of nanofibers extraction media. The genipin-crosslinked nanofibers did not show any toxic effects on fibroblast cells at the lowest and moderate amount of genipin. The fibroblast cells also showed a good adhesion on genipin-crosslinked nanofibers.
Conclusion:
This electrospun matrix would be used for biomedical applications such as wound dressing and scaffold for tissue engineering without the concern of toxicity.techniques used in Metabolite profiling of bryophytes ppt

This document describes computational techniques used to design novel competitive inhibitors of the E. coli 5'-methylthioadenosine/S-adenosylhomocysteine nucleosidase (MTN) enzyme. It utilized core hopping to generate 10,000 structures by varying the core while keeping functional groups constant. Docking and binding energies were calculated for subsets of compounds down to the top 8 ligands. Results show several compounds have more favorable predicted binding than the control TDI inhibitor, warranting further optimization and testing of lead compounds.

ABSTRACT- The magnetosome is organelles of prokaryotic bacteria having a magnetic property, they are Magnetotactic Bacteria. MTB consisting of phospholipids bilayer bounded a magnetite crystal that contains the different set of proteins and functionally different. The magnetosome particles are potentially useful in the number of applications as a magnetic nanoparticle. In this work, we studied the localization and expression of proteins play an essential role in magnetosome biomineralization process by fluorescence microscopy and biochemical analysis in microaerophilic Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense R3/S1. Although optimum conditions were mutually exclusive for high fluorescence and magnetite synthesis through this study, oxygen-limited growth conditions were established, which enhance magnetite biomineralization, growth, and formation of GFP fluorophore at reasonable rates. Through fluorescence microscopy and immunoblotting technique, we were studied that the subcellular localization and expression of magnetosome proteins i.e. GFP-tagged. Among MamC, MamF, and MamG magnetosome proteins fused to GFP, the strongest expression, and fluorescence displayed by MamC-GFP. The magnetosome tagged to MamC-GFP purified from cells shows strong fluorescence, shows stability towards wide temperature range and salt concentration however sensitive towards detergent. Our research exhibited the utilization of MamC as an anchor for magnetosome-specific display for fusions of the heterologous gene. This thesis describes the synthesis, purification, and stability study of the islet neogenesis-associated protein peptide (INGAP-P) and analogs. INGAP-P and analogs were synthesized using solid phase peptide synthesis. Preliminary identification of the linear and cyclic analogs was done using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Preliminary identification of INGAP-P was done using ESI mass spectrometry. Reverse phase HPLC method development was performed to separate and analyze the peptide mixtures. When I was asked to give a companion lecture in support of ‘The Philosophy of Science’ (https://shorturl.at/4pUXz) I decided not to walk through the detail of the many methodologies in order of use. Instead, I chose to employ a long standing, and ongoing, scientific development as an exemplar. And so, I chose the ever evolving story of Thermodynamics as a scientific investigation at its best.
Conducted over a period of >200 years, Thermodynamics R&D, and application, benefitted from the highest levels of professionalism, collaboration, and technical thoroughness. New layers of application, methodology, and practice were made possible by the progressive advance of technology. In turn, this has seen measurement and modelling accuracy continually improved at a micro and macro level.
Perhaps most importantly, Thermodynamics rapidly became a primary tool in the advance of applied science/engineering/technology, spanning micro-tech, to aerospace and cosmology. I can think of no better a story to illustrate the breadth of scientific methodologies and applications at their best.

Thematic analysis in qualitative research is a time-consuming and systematic task, typically done using teams. Team members must ground their activities on common understandings of the major concepts underlying the thematic analysis, and define criteria for its development. However, conceptual misunderstandings, equivocations, and lack of adherence to criteria are challenges to the quality and speed of this process. Given the distributed and uncertain nature of this process, we wondered if the tasks in thematic analysis could be supported by readily available artificial intelligence chatbots. Our early efforts point to potential benefits: not just saving time in the coding process but better adherence to criteria and grounding, by increasing triangulation between humans and artificial intelligence. This tutorial will provide a description and demonstration of the process we followed, as two academic researchers, to develop a custom ChatGPT to assist with qualitative coding in the thematic data analysis process of immersive learning accounts in a survey of the academic literature: QUAL-E Immersive Learning Thematic Analysis Helper. In the hands-on time, participants will try out QUAL-E and develop their ideas for their own qualitative coding ChatGPT. Participants that have the paid ChatGPT Plus subscription can create a draft of their assistants. The organizers will provide course materials and slide deck that participants will be able to utilize to continue development of their custom GPT. The paid subscription to ChatGPT Plus is not required to participate in this workshop, just for trying out personal GPTs during it.
EWOCS-I: The catalog of X-ray sources in Westerlund 1 from the Extended Weste...
Context. With a mass exceeding several 104 M⊙ and a rich and dense population of massive stars, supermassive young star clusters
represent the most massive star-forming environment that is dominated by the feedback from massive stars and gravitational interactions
among stars.
Aims. In this paper we present the Extended Westerlund 1 and 2 Open Clusters Survey (EWOCS) project, which aims to investigate
the influence of the starburst environment on the formation of stars and planets, and on the evolution of both low and high mass stars.
The primary targets of this project are Westerlund 1 and 2, the closest supermassive star clusters to the Sun.
Methods. The project is based primarily on recent observations conducted with the Chandra and JWST observatories. Specifically,
the Chandra survey of Westerlund 1 consists of 36 new ACIS-I observations, nearly co-pointed, for a total exposure time of 1 Msec.
Additionally, we included 8 archival Chandra/ACIS-S observations. This paper presents the resulting catalog of X-ray sources within
and around Westerlund 1. Sources were detected by combining various existing methods, and photon extraction and source validation
were carried out using the ACIS-Extract software.
Results. The EWOCS X-ray catalog comprises 5963 validated sources out of the 9420 initially provided to ACIS-Extract, reaching a
photon flux threshold of approximately 2 × 10−8 photons cm−2
s
−1
. The X-ray sources exhibit a highly concentrated spatial distribution,
with 1075 sources located within the central 1 arcmin. We have successfully detected X-ray emissions from 126 out of the 166 known
massive stars of the cluster, and we have collected over 71 000 photons from the magnetar CXO J164710.20-455217.

Describing and Interpreting an Immersive Learning Case with the Immersion Cub...
Current descriptions of immersive learning cases are often difficult or impossible to compare. This is due to a myriad of different options on what details to include, which aspects are relevant, and on the descriptive approaches employed. Also, these aspects often combine very specific details with more general guidelines or indicate intents and rationales without clarifying their implementation. In this paper we provide a method to describe immersive learning cases that is structured to enable comparisons, yet flexible enough to allow researchers and practitioners to decide which aspects to include. This method leverages a taxonomy that classifies educational aspects at three levels (uses, practices, and strategies) and then utilizes two frameworks, the Immersive Learning Brain and the Immersion Cube, to enable a structured description and interpretation of immersive learning cases. The method is then demonstrated on a published immersive learning case on training for wind turbine maintenance using virtual reality. Applying the method results in a structured artifact, the Immersive Learning Case Sheet, that tags the case with its proximal uses, practices, and strategies, and refines the free text case description to ensure that matching details are included. This contribution is thus a case description method in support of future comparative research of immersive learning cases. We then discuss how the resulting description and interpretation can be leveraged to change immersion learning cases, by enriching them (considering low-effort changes or additions) or innovating (exploring more challenging avenues of transformation). The method holds significant promise to support better-grounded research in immersive learning.

Abstract Among the nanomaterial being applied for treatment and diagnosis fi eld, magnetic NPs especially magnetite phase of iron oxide have been signifi cantly interested due to their natural magnetic properties. In this study, a nanocomposition of poly (acrylic acid) and chitosan with Fe3 O4 NPs were prepared in order to investigation for drug delivery systems and plasma protein adsorption. Synthesized NPs were studied by various technics including XRD, TEM, SEM, FT-IR, VSM, DLS, zeta potential and AAS. These NPs have superparamagnetic property that is essential for magnetic NPs to applying in body and drug delivery. Plasma protein adsorption is one of the most important issues for failure of nanocarriers function. In this work, BSA and IgG were used as models of proteins to study adsorption of protein onto NPs by UVVis spectroscopy method. Adsorption behavior of NPs for each protein was different. PAA-Fe3 O4 NPs represent the lowest albumin adsorption and can be expected that have lower adsorption of protein in the body. The release profi le of ascorbic acid from PAA-Fe3 O4 NPs represents no sensitivity to pH, and NPs showed approximately same release behavior in pH 7.4 and 5.8.
