This document provides an introduction and background on a study conducted on enhancing the productivity of a component using lean manufacturing concepts at BTEC Private Limited. The objectives of the study were to reduce material and employee movement by 20%, increase component productivity by 10%, and lower inventory levels. The study examined applying lean tools like kaizen, just-in-time to reduce inventory levels and movement by 10%. The methodology involved time studies, cycle time calculations, and comparing collected data to previous data. The expected contributions were recognized non-value-added activities, increased employee morale and capacity, improved customer satisfaction, and optimal resource use with reduced costs.
