This document summarizes a research study that examines the effects of different contextual clues - synonyms/antonyms vs. collocations - on vocabulary learning among young English language learners. The study involves 60 students divided into a control group and two experimental groups. One experimental group will learn new words using synonyms/antonyms, while the other uses collocations. Pre- and post-tests will measure the students' vocabulary gains, and statistical analysis will determine if one contextual clue approach leads to significantly better learning outcomes than the other. The goal is to identify the most effective strategy for helping EFL students learn new vocabulary.
