While alliances can help further one's game, they also cause tension and can backfire if people are untrustworthy. To win, one must talk to others, form alliances, show leadership skills, find immunity idols, respect the game, and avoid being flirty, flamboyant, self-centered, or helpless. Lying is selfish and keeps others uninformed, but the lessons of balancing group and individual goals apply in real life.
