• Considered one of the leading theories in the
area of learning
• Majority of respondents are familiar with the theory (81%) and consider it
helpful (77%)
• Course designers use Bloom’s taxonomy to define/develop learning goals/
lessons/activities/objectives/evaluations
Challenge: Often misunderstanding/misuse of the concept

• 56% of respondents – have no familiarity with the Tin Can
technology
• Majority of participants, who are familiar with the tool, have
only researched/read/heard/discussed it, but it is not
integrated in their work.
• Tin Can is a new specification for
learning technology that facilitates
data collection on a wide range of
learning experiences an individual
completes, both online and offline

Bloom’s Taxonomy & Learning Objectives • Bloom’s taxonomy is a classification of the different levels of cognitive learning • Considered one of the leading theories in the area of learning • Majority of respondents are familiar with the theory (81%) and consider it helpful (77%) • Course designers use Bloom’s taxonomy to define/develop learning goals/ lessons/activities/objectives/evaluations Challenge: Often misunderstanding/misuse of the concept 8

Tin Can API • 56% of respondents – have no familiarity with the Tin Can technology • Majority of participants, who are familiar with the tool, have only researched/read/heard/discussed it, but it is not integrated in their work. • Tin Can is a new specification for learning technology that facilitates data collection on a wide range of learning experiences an individual completes, both online and offline These learning experiences are recorded in a Learning Record Store (LRS). 9
