2. The ASSURE Model
It is a guide in crafting an instructional flow that can guide
the teacher in integrating appropriate technology and media
into the instruction process.
It is also refers to a systematic approach that the teacher can
use when writing an instructional plan.
“ASSURE” is an acronym that describes a set of tasks
central to the informed selection and use of educational
technology.
4. 1. Analyze Learners
Who is the audience?
• Learners as the center of instructional process
• Demographics
-pedagogy
-andragogy
• General characteristics ( grade level, age, sex, mental,
emotional, physical or social problems, socio-economic status
etc.)
• Entry competencies ( prior knowledge, skills, and attitudes
about the topic)
• Learning styles ( visual, musical, verbal, logical, etc.)
5. 2. State Objectives
What do students need to learn?
• Learning outcomes assessment
Objectives typically contain four basics parts:
1) Audience – who your learners are?
2) Behavior – what is the behavior or performance to be
demonstrated?
3) Conditions – what are the conditions under which the behavior
will be observed?
4) Degree – To what degree will the knowledge or skill be mastered.

What do instructor need to use for face to face, hybrid
and online teaching?
• Selecting appropriate way of delivering the lesson
and using the applicable media or technology can
effective make learners acquire understanding of
lesson or gain the competence desired.

How do instructors use the materials?
• Preview materials
• Prepare environment
• Provide instruction
Teacher decides which part of the instructional flow will a
particular materials or technology be employed and the
manner on how it will be more effective to achieve the
learning outcome.

participation
Students will actively engage in:
• Discussion
• Small group activities
• Formative assessment
Student engagement is an important element.
The learners have to be made to understand their role in
taking accountability of their own learning.
