4. Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab RA “When revelation
came to the Messenger of Allah SAW, one could hear
what sounded like the drone of bees before his face.
One day revelation was coming to him, he faced the
Qiblah, raised his hands and said: ‘O Allah! Increase us,
do not diminish us. Favor us, do not withhold from us,
make us pleased and be pleased with us.’ He SAW said:
‘Ten Ayah were revealed to me, whoever abides by them
shall enter Paradise (and they are): ‘Successful indeed
are the believers…’ until the completion of ten Ayat
(23:1-10).” Jami at-Tirmidhi Vol. 5, Book 44, Hadith 3173

5.  Background --- ten verses :the one who measures up to them,
will most surely go to Paradise.
 Meaning of true success - Right Criterion of true success and
failure --- What is our criterion?
 Seven attributes of a perfect believer on the basis of which he has
been promised falah in this world and in Here after.
1. Khushu in Salah ---- Condition of heart & body ---- Why & how?
2. Abstinence from vain, use less and frivolous things ---- waste of
time --- Even avoid listening and hearing them, no inclination
towards indecency.

with deeds.
 Four basic principles of Deen and different factions -----
Tauheed(Shirk),
 Hereafter ( intercession), Lawful ( extremes), righteous
deeds
 Prosperity is not Allah’s pleasure and adversity is not His
wrath.
 “Rejoicing in what they have” --- Ayah 53 --- Self evaluation

12.  Six qualities of righteous & sincere people -- Fear Allah
(Khashyiat), full faith in signs of Allah( ponder), associate
none with Allah(no Shirk),Give charity but fearing for
acceptance(accountability), hasten to do good & try to excel
 No burden on anyone beyond their capacity.
 Ignorance of heart = Ignorance of deeds
 Chastisement of those that are given to luxuriant ways ---
Affluent ones --- Groaning and cries
 Truth never follow the desires of people -- its not subservient
 Famine upon Makah

Ruku No 6:

15.  If enemy is human counter them with goodness but when
enemy is un human (Satan), seek Allah’s refuge.
 Ayah 100 --- Word Barzakh ---- Barrier, anything which
intervenes between two things.
 Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws.
 Making fun of believers, laugh on them ---- same attitude

 Guarantee of success and Faith --- Instill the attributes of the
believers within ourselves.
 Objections on Deen --- Feeling the of grip of Allah from the
stories of nations
 History of rejection and invitation ---- Instead of panicking over
objections, pray for Allah’s help
 Ignorance of the Unbelievers – Conscious awakening of Faith
and excel in doing good.

Listening, Watching and intellect in the way of Allah SWT.

18. Let's evaluate our selves
Am I sure? Yes No mostly to some
extent
I constantly try to pray Salah with Khushu.
I try to abstain from vain, useless tasks.
I try to purify myself.
I try to take care of all requirements of Haya?
I believe that fulfilling promise is a
requirement of faith.
I try to ponder on the logical reasoning
present in our soul for faith
I try to excel and run to do good.
I sometime neglect Allah’s ayahs because of
arrogance.
