4. Reported By Ibn Abbas: The Prophet (may peace
be upon him) did not write “In the name of Allah,
the compassionate, the merciful” until Surah an-
Naml was revealed. Sunan Abi Dawud 787
It was narrated that Abu Darda’ said: “I performed eleven
prostrations with the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬of which there were none in
the Mufassal [short Surahs (49-114) of the Qur’an]. Al-A’raf, Ar-
Ra’d, An-Nahl, Bani Isra’il, Maryam, Al-Hajj, the prostration in Al-
Furqan, Surat An-Naml (mentioning) Sulayman, As- Sajdah, Sad,
and the Ha-Mim Surah.”
