Overview of the first ODSA Workshop 2019. The charter of the ODSA (Open Domain Specification Architecture) Workgroup is to define an open specification that enables building of Domain Specific Accelerator silicon using best-of-breed components from the industry made available as chiplet dies that can be integrated together as Lego blocks on an organic substrate packaging layer. The resulting multi-chip module (MCM) silicon can be produced at significantly lower development and manufacturing costs, and will deliver much needed performance per watt and performance per dollar efficiencies in networking, security, machine learning and other applications. The ODSA Workgroup also intends to deliver implementations of the specification as board-level prototypes, RTL code and libraries.

For numerous large enterprises, the alignment of hardware and software processes is critical to managing an Agile environment. Agile Hardware implementations can be put in place by using the same framework as our typical Agile Software Development transformations. Start off with assessing the organization’s current state, then move to planning and preparing by and putting together a transition backlog, start execution with training and coaching, spread the cultural shift with change management and maintain and scale the transformation.

Cheap creative is expensive! Game companies are blessed with talented artists but often fall into the trap of letting the game artist make their ads. In prehistoric days, way back in 2012, of free-to-play mobile gaming we let clients create ads and focused on data science and media buying. Today, making ads that drive the highest ROI at scale is a scientific process as much as a creative one. We will share our process for creating, testing, optimizing and refining our ads and show how a great creative process will drive higher ROI and make you money. Our findings will surprise you!

This month we have the honor of hosting 2 speakers; Danny Miller and John Murn. Together, they will be sharing different perspectives on foreigner employability in Taiwan.
Danny Miller is currently the Branch Manager of Pagoda Projects in Taipei: a company specialising in bringing International Students to Greater China, Vietnam and Mexico for internships and long-term Placements. He previously worked as the Operations manager of the British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China (Chengdu+Chongqing). In the evenings Daniel is a typical brit: playing football, strumming a guitar badly and drinking beer. He is also a partner of All Hands and assists John Murn as much as he can.
John Murn is a marketing professional whose career trajectory has flowed from copywriting into digital strategy. John fills his daytime hours working in mobile adtech and by nights he's working on a new professional platform for Taiwan, All Hands. Likes: baseball, books, cats, beer. Dislikes: bad drivers.
