1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Sunkpa Recycling Farms and Resorts is a propose farms dedicated to
the production of Agricultural produce like Bird, Fishes,
Crops/Vegetables and Livestock feeds.
We will recycle our farms by using the waste dungs from birds to
produce maggot meal or directly as supplementary feed for fishes and
as manure for crops/vegetable, the waste water from the fish section
will be collected through a well and use to irrigate our crops/vegetable.
Meanwhile, the crops/vegetable will be used to formulate local feed for
our livestock to reduce the cost of buying foreign feed.
We will work hard to become a leading producer of Agro-products for
natural supplement Industries and we will generate over #162 million
profits in two years with a startup capital of #16,560,000.
Although sale forecast indicate that growth will be slow and steady
because of the time and effort needed to develop the customers.
Production is a slowing element because we will be able to raise
production of our agricultural produce to meet the sale need.

We have identified several objectives for the business:

fishes and crops/vegetable for Industrial and household consumption.

MISSION
Our mission is to become the leading provider/producers of
Crop/Vegetable and animals (including aquatic and terrestrial) for
export and local consumption, this will be accomplished by providing
quality and healthy products at fair price while exceeding customer’s
expectation.

every crop/vegetable and improved breed of birds and fishes (fish seed,
fingerlings, and juveniles)
•Ensuring that all customers’ needs are met and they are satisfied with
the purchased products.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Sunkpa Recycling Farms and Resort will be led by Lukpata Sunday; he
will be responsible for the business operations of the farms. With the
background of Zoology and Environmental Biology, he will be the
driving force of the operation, growing and producing the highest active
ingredient content Crops/Vegetable, Fish and Poultry in the Country.
As head of production, Lukpata will be responsible for daily activities of
the farm including labour, production, accounting and cost of
production, he will also supervise, schedule crops and animals selection
growing and stocking schedules irrigation system development, pest
and disease control and general maintenance of the farm. Because
Lukpata has technical knowledge regarding plants and animals Biology
and their Industrial leading values, he will include qualifying lead as well
as participating in the final negotiation and account management.
Over fifteen (15) people will be employed to fill the positions of both
skill and unskilled labour, some of the activities of the field labourers
are; soil tilling, growers, compose distribution, cleaning of birds pens,
cleaning of fish dikes, breeding, stocking, sorting and harvesting of
fishes, production of livestock meal and crops/vegetable collection.

4. MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES
Our employees will be motivated to perform the required work
productivity once they obtain and understand the farm’s goals and
objective, for excited employees are apt to work harder and more
effectively.
TRAINING OF EMPLOYEES
The farm is going to provide all its managers and workers with regular
training on various key issues of the farm and discus the rules,
regulations and procedures in which staff must adhere to.
Other areas that must be addressed are;
• The importance each of the employee to the farm business.
• Job description and duties of each of the employee
• Inspiring or motiving words, background information on the farm,
strategies to increase the treatment of each costumers and how to deal
with specific situations as how they occur, etc.
COMPANY’S HISTORY
Initially it begins as a hobby where Engr. Nelson Asuelimen asked me
to use my Zoological and Environmental Biology skill to run a Mini-
Recycling farms for him at Manreng Estate, Gwarimpa 11, Abuja. While
covering some costs, we were able to achieve this lifestyle due to a win
fall that Engr. Nelson receives as a result of exercised stock options.

5. After a year, I see myself as an ‘employer of labour’ , it would be
irresponsible for me to pay deaf ears to this lucrative and innovative
ideas of recycling farms when is an open field of reducing the level
poverty in Nigeria through engagement of school drop-out, widows ,
orphans, and un-employed youth and graduate in my dear country. On
this note, I got a serious zeal about the business and made a contracted
effort to become profitable.
MARKETING PLAN
To develop a reputation as a supply of livestock, crop/vegetable and to
effectively penetrate the market in the first day of operation by offering
products not supplied by other producers and grower in the area. We
will aim at expanding the varieties and species of our product to the
public.
We have identified four distinct customers;
•Food supplement companies in the country
•Food processors
•Retailer
•Other Agricultural Businessmen/Farmers.
Consumer’s survey consistently finds that over 95% of the world
population feed directly or indirectly on this product.
Regardless of the economic situation, human being must feed and since
domestic birds and fishes are consumable it makes Agricultural farming
feasible.

6. Nigeria has a population of over 150 million and growing; bear it in
mind that a huge demand for food (eggs, meat, fish) with increased
awareness on health implication of RED MEAT, there’s increase in
demand for white meat (birds) and fish.
Our marking strategy will be based on generating awareness using
different forms of communication such as trade shows and
advertisement (farms trade magazine, flyers, handbills, TV stations,
newspapers, radio stations, and church bulletins.
PRODUCTION PLAN
Due to the significant market demand in Agricultural produce, Sunkpa
Farms and Resorts propose to operate three (3) hectares of land at
Daudu community, Markudi in Benue State.
We will maintain maximum production and optimal yield of
crops/vegetable and livestock and their feeds through close monitoring
of the farm. Production schedule will be followed closely and constantly
striving for improvement in our production practices using the past one
year experience in operation, continuing Education Courses in
Crops/Vegetable bedding and livestock production as well as
specialization in fish breeding and poultry (birds) unit will allow us to
produce the maximum output for the public.

8. Gross margin (profit) for fishery and broiler (birds) after four months are
₦4,254,000 and ₦5,058,400 respectively.
For another four months ignoring Housing/Equipment and Water as fixed assets,
we will have ₦5,340,000 and ₦6,558,400.
In a year time, ₦10,680,000 and ₦13,116,800 amount of income is expected to be
generated from Fishery and Broilers respectively.
Since layers start laying after 18 weeks and stop after 75 weeks, they have 57
weeks of generating revenue.
If 5000 eggs are layed/day from 500 layers,
Numbers of eggs in a week will be 5000 × 7 = 35000 eggs
In 75 weeks we will have 35000 × 57 = 1,995,000 eggs.
But a crate of eggs contain 30 eggs
Therefore, the total numbers of crates per year will be = 1,995,000/30 = 66,500
crates per/year.
But a crate of egg goes for ₦700,
Therefore, in a year; 66,500 × ₦700 = ₦46,550,000
Sales of mature Layers; 5000 × ₦2000 = ₦10,000,000.
Income generated from layers after one year; ₦46,550,000 + ₦10,000,000
= ₦56,550,000
Expenditure for the first four month = ₦5,520,000
For 8th
and 12th
months = ₦3,870,000 × 2 = ₦7,740,000
Gross Margin = ₦56,550,000 – ₦7,740,000 = ₦48,810,000
