This study investigated the gap between preservice teachers' technological knowledge and skills versus their confidence in using technology for classroom instruction. The study involved 26 preservice teachers who completed surveys on their proficiency with technology, confidence in integrating it, and actual use of technology applications during student teaching. A second study examined the benefits of interactive whiteboards for manipulating text and images, taking digital notes, viewing websites as a group, demonstrating software untethered from a computer, creating digital lessons, annotating videos, using presentation tools, and showcasing student work.
