Expertise includes knowledge while creative thinking involves upending status quos and using imagination. Motivation determines what people will actually do. There are intrinsic and extrinsic types of motivation. Amabile identifies six tasks to enhance creativity: challenge work to match developmental readiness, provide freedom in how problems are solved, allocate sufficient resources like time and money, carefully design work groups, provide supervisory encouragement through trust, and get organizational support for creative endeavors. The result could be a truly innovative environment where creativity thrives rather than just survives.

Top Entrepreneurship - A career in the music industrySebastiaan Hooft
In this presentation Sebastiaan Hooft talks about top entrepreneurship in the music industry at 2016 Dancefair. Based in his TEDx talk on top entrepreneurship, Hooft covers his five facets every artist should think about: idea; team; planning; resources and health.
Over the past fifteen years, Sebastiaan has founded more than twenty companies, becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs
in the Netherlands, and living a wealthy but stressful life. Slowly but steadily, music faded to the background as his career took over. Unaware that life had other plans in store for him, he lost himself in managing the empire he’d built. Inevitably, though, 2010 brought a turning point: Sebastiaan ended up in the hospital with serious health issues. That’s when he knew change was coming. And so, he sold his companies, gave his profits to charity and started travelling the globe talking to other inspiring and successful people and get to know their tactics. He talked to over five hundred of them, turned himself into a speaker and mentor for startups and managers, and created a canvas for living a healthy entrepreneurial life. One of the companies that was interested in using this canvas was a DJ school in Amsterdam. Right there, back behind the decks, Sebastiaan found what he’d lost so many years ago – and he didn’t hesitate a second. He took a deep dive and made a bold move by choosing to go for his passion: music.

The key takeaways are to plant ideas and nurture growth, empower teams to create change, share credit widely, address issues proactively but with nuanced solutions, and recognize that success emerges gradually over time through dedicated effort.
The document discusses how managers can influence creativity in the workplace. It covers 6 categories of manager practices that can affect creativity: challenge, freedom, resources, work-group features, supervisory encouragement, and organizational support. Intrinsic motivation is key to creativity. Managers can foster creativity by matching employees' skills to tasks, providing autonomy, allocating sufficient time and money, assembling diverse teams, acknowledging creative efforts, and prioritizing creativity in the organization. Failing to do these things and over-evaluating ideas can undermine employees' intrinsic motivation and kill creativity.

The 3-step prayer process of stopping to pray, looking at options, and listening to answers can move leaders to inspired action. Inspired living and leadership is achieved by maintaining a state of inspiration.

- Consider what energizes you versus what depletes your energy to determine what type of work aligns with how you want to develop as a person.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

Storytelling is an incredibly valuable tool to share data and information. To get the most impact from stories there are a number of key ingredients. These are based on science and human nature. Using these elements in a story you can deliver information impactfully, ensure action and drive change.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Successful meeting mantras by Sushil Handa
1. Successful Meeting Mantras…
Recently, I read an article, which said that American Managers spend about 36% of their time in meetings. While we have never really measured the amount of time we spend attending meetings, many of you will agree that a fairly large portion of your time too goes into meetings – either one to one or in a group.
Is this time well and productively spent? This is a question many of you must have asked yourselves time and again. My answer is, it should be, provided you follow certain simple guidelines for effective meetings.
Consider that you are attending a meeting to discuss future strategies for the company. What can you do to ensure that you personally, the group, and the company benefit from the time spent at the meeting?
Before the meeting, understand the perspective and agenda, and the contribution you can make.
Prepare yourself – get your thoughts clear, make notes of important points you would like to raise.
During the meeting play a proactive and constructive role, give ideas, ask critical questions.
Take notes of key points, especially in cases where you can directly contribute.
Prepare a note after the meeting, with action points. Share this with other concerned people you may have to work jointly with.
Translate the points into action. Deliver results.
Experience the thrill and happiness that can only come from Achievement…
About Author:
Sushil Handa - A First Generation Entrepreneur
Thanks to Mr. Sushil Handa who supplied this article. As a first generation entrepreneur, Mr. Sushil Handa took his own decisions, made his own mistakes, learnt from them and continued to grow. However, one thing he has sorely missed is the presence of a 'mentor' who could have guided him through the various crests and troughs of his career and life. This, along with an innate ability to recognize the uniqueness and potential of ideas, opportunities and people, have evolved into the vision behind The FifthVeda Entrepreneurs – a platform through which Mr. Sushil Handa seeks to partner with young and enterprising people who have the desire to nurture an entrepreneurial dream and are willing to lead from the front, and share his belief and commitment in shaping the creation of a brave new world.
