This document summarizes and analyzes different camera shots used in a student film. It discusses how an establishing shot uses a canted angle to make the audience feel uneasy about the lack of civilization. An extreme close-up of a person's eyes is used to show emotion and detail. A low-angle shot depicts a shift in power from a mother to child but keeps the child's head out of frame, suggesting the mother's emotions don't matter. A medium shot shows a girl's confusion in a new house as she discovers her unfamiliar surroundings. A point-of-view shot reveals where a character was stabbed through blood on her clothes seen through her painful eyes.

2. Establishing shot
• This establishing shot is used to help show the isolation with the
film, a canted angle is used to make the audience feel uneasy and
disturbed. Within this shot there is just nature which gives the
impression of something bad has happened to the world with the lack
of civilisation.

3. Extreme Close-up
• This is an extreme close up of a persons eyes this is use to show
emotion in the persons eyes, but also this give the character some
detail to the audience of what the person looks like as people are
attracted to others eyes.

4. Low-angle shot
• This low-angle shot show the shift in power between form the mother
to her child. However keeping the child's head out the shot give the
idea that her emotion doesn’t matter to the mother and how she feels
so in one way the mother still has the power even though she is
positioned lower than her daughter.

5. Medium shot
• This shot is used to show the girls confusion within this new house
and as the girl discovers this new location and is in the unknown this
shows her confused in this environment.

6. Point Of View Shot
• This Point of view shot shows her in pain from her eyes
and how she sees it. The use of blood used tells exactly
where she was stabbed with her hand is and how the
blood is on her clothes.
