This is a wide shot which allows the
audience to see the surroundings. This
shows the characters point of view
and helps the audience see what she
can see and this builds suspense as
you can see the villains from a
distance.

This shot is a close up, this kind of
shot shows the characters terror and
emotions in her face, it shows her
surroundings and the fact that she is
hiding near a corner, this is also gives
the viewer a sense of her vulnerability
and fear as she is trying to hide.
This shot is a mid shot, it shows more
of the characters body and
surroundings,from this shot we can
see that the character has feelings of
anger, fear and determination of the
unknown.

This shot is a low angle (worms eye)
shot, it is looking up at the character,
which would usually give the
character authority, however in this
clip it shows her running and you can
see the panic. For a second she has
authority as she is running away from
the villains and hiding so she is a step
forward.
This shot is a close up, in this shot the
background is very dark and this
helps the main image of the character
have more pop and it stands out more,
You can really see the emotion of fear
and the unknown in the character as
she is crying and looks very scared of
what is about to happen. The darkness
in the background really helps the
scene as in the darkness there is the unknown and the character doesn’t know
what is about to happen.

This shot is a low angle (worms eye)
shot, it gives the feeling of the
unknown and creates mystery, tension
and anxiety as you can only see the
bottom half of the villain’s body. It also
gives the villain authority as it is shot
from the ground upwards creating a
hero/powerfulness role to the
character that is a villain. This also
shows the vulnerability and the little power the girl character has in the situation
because the film switches from her been on the ground hiding and to the men
walking around the bedroom with a low angle shot.
In this shot it is a low angle wide shot,
this shot creates a lot of fear and
tension of what is about to happen
from the audience as you can see the
girls reluctant to be pulled from out
under the bed as you can see her
screaming and almost trying to grab
the camera in an attempt to stop her
from been puled from underneath the
bed. It also gives the character a lot of vulnerability and fear as she is she is
framed hiding under a bed.
