10. Whatsticksforyou
inherstory?
Now that you have seen this TEDx talk, write down
five words that come to you what triggered you in this
talk.
From these 5 words you choose one word. This word
what does it tell us about how you connect to this word.
From which value you want to speak to your crowd?
11. WHAT
Writeyoupitch
downin6steps.
Introduction
The Message - What is changed after people invest and
participate in your Start Up Idea, what is in it for
them?
The Resistance – Adress possible resistance to keep
your public connected to your story.
The Advice – What do you advice the public to do, build
in a call to action.
The (Long Term) Goal – What is the main objective?
What aims to resolve the need or want of your
customers.
Outro, things to remember your idea and you by.

12. HOW
makeyour
presentation even
better…
Keep your presentation short.
You do not get extra points for filling time, from yourself or from
others ... 5 minutes? Make it 4 minutes.
Keep clear what the presentation is for!
If the presentation went well, who or what has changed? What
action are people going to take after your presentation? If you
don't have an answer (yet), why would you do a presentation?
Do not use a powerpoint as an autocue. Use pictures which
support your story. If you have special details, make a document
or memo and give it after the presentation.
Don’t do things that you normally don’t do. Do not sing, dance or
make jokes if you normally don’t. A presentation is not the right
place to try things out. But if you have such a skill, use it.
Be here now. The reason that you give a presentation is that your
personal energy contributes to achieving the desired result.
Don't hide yourself. We want to see you!

13. TipsfromTED
The task of the speaker is to give, not to take. Sales
pitches or "company pitches" cause terrible "talks".
Cut your subjects back to a single, big idea, causing you to
work out a strong storyline.
Build your idea step by step, starting with what the
listener already knows (e.g. the problem).
Put your ego aside. Otherwise you don't build a bond with
the audience. Connect with your audience by gaining
trust.
Use your nerves as extra motivation to prepare well. You
want something. Make sure you get it!
There is no set formula for a good talk. What counts is
that you have an idea that is worthwhile and that you do
so in an authentic way.

14. Buildingyour
presentation.
Write it down your full presentation out on ‘paper’, one
paragraph is about one minute spoken word.
Build it up; into, the message (1 min.), possible resistance
(1 min.), the advice (1 min.), the end goal (1 min.), outro.
Collect supporting visuals, get the feeling you want to
capture in a picture to support your story.
Practice out loud, read your pitch from paper out loud.
Memo record and clock your pitch with your mobile phone.
Bring it back to 04.30 minutes max. Remember each
paragraph takes about one minute, these are your, easy to
remember steps of content!
Practice, but don’t overdo it. We all want to see you
speaking relaxed and authentic, with room for mistakes.
We are all human.
