Structural isomers are chemical compounds with the same molecular formula but different structural formulas. Pentane, methyl butane, and 2,2 dimethyl propane are examples of structural isomers. Structural isomers are divided into chain, position, and functional group isomers depending on their structural differences, and help visualize how molecular formulas can be rearranged structurally.
