1. Story board evaluation <br />One of the main links to research I did I found out that music has a big impact on how the genre of film is revealed on screen. An example of one of the films was “se7en” which was one of the films I had researched and analyzed that the music caused tension which kept me at the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next but also had a brief idea that it was defiantly a thriller just because of the music and how it had different pitches. Also the camera angles and zoom in shots were another main theme of a thriller which is common for the audience to see everything clear on screen as thrillers usually try make on screen seem as scary or even gruesome. We understood that sound has a dramatic impact on a opening of a film so that was one of our main focuses on grabbing the audience attention and helping them understand and create a desired meaning on what the film would be about. We decided to create a story board with varieties of shots such as zoom ins which are a typical thriller shots and we chose to get a lullaby for our sounding in the clip which is a good thriller sounding effect has it has a connotation of innocence but is naturally creepy when heard on screen.<br />In our opening 2 minutes we are hoping to get the audience in a mood as to where they are creating a desired meaning as to what the film will actually be about. We are creating a tense atmosphere with the sound of the lullaby and the zoom I shots to the pictures and the close up shots of the female character which reveals her facial expression onscreen clearly which will be of an innocent girl. We have chosen these so that the audience gets to analyze the whole scene properly and the sounding just helps the audience engage in the clip. <br />The social group of this video and the characters in it of a middle class average people and by the way the people will be dressed.<br />e.g. Like the way the mother is dressed in the video is revealed as wearing a black hoody is to represent that she is not evil but depressed but audience will probably create a desire meaning of the mother being the evil character but instead the girl is the one who is the bad character but is not completely shown until the end of the clip. The boys costume will be his uniform which is a sign of innocence and purity and the way the female character is revealed on screen dressed normally as a normal teenager which keeps most of the audience focus of here.<br />
