PERSONAL PROFILE
An enthusiastic, accomplished and highly motivated Learning and Development Manager and a practitioner of the
Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) Methodology, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Course
Design & Development, Training Delivery and Evaluation. Bringing extensive experience in the planning, writing,
implementation, monitoring and management of effective training programmes. Highly developed leadership and
management skills, combined with a strong analytical ability, produces consistent results also under pressure. A
determined enthusiastic and reliable manager with a systematic, flexible and practical approach, from a military and
civilian background, will be an asset to any company or organisation.
Other experience gained includes Bespoke Application Specialist and Bid/Project Management, Military Subject
Matter Expert (SME) in the C4ISR arena with additional experience in Logistics (J4) and Operations (J3) gained from
37 years military service in the British Army, all augmented with professional qualifications and training.

CURRENT EMPLOYMENT
Oct 2010 – Present Training Delivery Manager Airbus Defence and Space
Based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; currently responsible for the strategy, planning, implementation and roll-out
of training delivery of administrative, training management, operational and technical specialist based courses.
Delivering to a large number of key border guard personnel, currently 34,000, prior to the implementation of a new
C4ISR defence and security system across the Kingdom.
Key responsibilities:
 Conformance and Quality Assurance (QA) of all training processes including Training Needs Analysis (TNA),
Course Design & Development (CDD), Training Delivery, and Training Evaluation;
 Writing and implementing a training management programme for a Cadre of Training Professionals across
the Border Guard training domain;
 Writing and implementing a Border Guard Train the Trainer (TtT) programme for the delivery of operational,
technical operator and technical maintenance programmes across the Kingdom;
 Cooperating with partners (German Federal Police), suppliers and Other Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs);
Developing extensive contacts and conducting negotiations with senior representatives of the Saudi Ministry
of Interior as well as the General Directorate of the Border Guard;
 Financial and manpower planning for the delivery of formal training and On the Job Training, current budget
€80 million;
 Leading a team of Saudi nationals to deliver training to the Saudi Border Guard.
Key Achievements:
 Delivery of training management courses to a newly established Border Guard training development team;
 Developed and Implemented a bespoke T3 concept and programme for Border Guard Training Institutes
(Land and Maritime);
 Development and planning of the complete training rollout plan for operational, technical operator and
technical maintenance programmes.

 Designed and delivered bespoke programmes to multi hierarchal audiences;
