4. SIA Door Supervisor
The SIA Door Supervisor qualification covers all the ma-
terial of SIA Security Guarding in addition to specific mod-
ules for Door Supervisor staff. These include Conflict
Management and Physical Intervention, designed to pre-
pare operatives for dealing with volatile situations experi-
enced in night clubs and bars.
Challenging
The Door Supervisor Course is more physically challeng-
ing than basic Security Guarding and contains elements
of physical restraining techniques and self defence. As
such, we recommend that applicants are physically fit
prior to attending.

Guarding
To operate in the Security sector in
the UK, every individual must hold
a valid SIA licence. This begins
with the basic manned guarding
qualification which permits the
