I understand that effective training has a major impact on a company's success!
Previously, I spent my career establishing and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external users, on our company's policies and procedures and various software applications. I played a pivotal role in ensuring that both existing and incoming staff and clients received excellent training. Statement of suitability
In my current job I oversee a small team of sales staff, in this position I have regular
meetings with the company directors in which we discuss future additions/adaptions to the
stock and sales crew. In addition to this I also have to arrange meetings with company reps
in which I discuss new products and pricing of these products with a view to possibly adding
them to the company’s stock. Due to my previous experience as an HGV lorry driver I am
also the deputy transport manager for the company, in this position I have to arrange
delivery schedules and deal with any issues involved in the delivery of building materials to
customers along with maintaining maintenance programs for all vehicles.
Since 2016 I was awarded a Foundation Degree in IT Management, this course has vastly
improved my IT knowledge, in the last three years I have studied and passed a verity of
subjects and feel confident that I could add something to your team.
I initially decided to increase my IT skills a few years ago, and returned to adult education
where I gained a pass with merits in CLAiT, I followed this up by gaining a pass with merits in
ECDL, both of these qualifications have given me a very good working understanding of the
full Microsoft Office suit and the individual apps within it. From here I decided to read for
the Foundation Degree, I graduated with a merit in this on 13/07/2016.
Whilst studying for the foundation degree I have had to learn all aspects of creating and
maintaining servers, this includes allocation user rights/share permissions and password
allocation, server security, login scrips, DHCP Server installation, disk quotas, account
management. I have also learned about types of hardware used and have a good working
knowledge of systemtypes.
During my studies I have also learned about the creation of web pages, online web based
apps and data driven websites, I have had to create some of these to pass certain subjects
within the last three years, part of the first year was ensuring that everyone had a grasp of
programming, for this I was taught programming using C#.
2. Since gaining my Foundation Degree I have been promoted to a management position and
have undertaken training courses in roof estimation and quantity surveying withing the
roofing sector.
Although I currently live in Swansea I have a brother living in Kingston upon Thames and I
am willing to relocate there.
I am not afraid to push myself by trying and learning new things. I have some experience of
management and I am a team player and always try to help out when I notice a colleague
who is struggling.
