Effective presentations

 It is the process of presenting the content of a topic to audience
consisting of one or more persons.
 It is generally a power point file containing all the files for a given
speech.
4 Steps to Giving Effective Presentations
 Strategy: Formulate a strategy for the specific audience.
 Structure: Develop a flexible and flowing structure.
 Presentation style: How you present is as important as what you present.
 Handling questions: Confident and informed responses to questions and
challenges.
Conclusion : checklists for an effective presentation
 Start preparing early don’t want until the last few days to prepare.
 Think about your audience.
 Be clear about purpose.
 Use an effective introduction.
 Organize your presentation clearly and simply.
 Use supporting material to support your point.
 Create an effective conclusion.
 Use body language effectively.
 Check the physical environment in advance.
 Finally, cope with stage fright by remembering that it is normal and everyone
feels it.

 Andrew Grove calls a very large change in one of the
competitive forces in an industry.
 A change, suggesting that the force has become ten times
what it was just recently.
 Companies must also show discipline by pricing for what
the market will bear, then work hard to cut costs so that
they can make money at that price
Conclusion:
 an organization has two attributes:
 1. It tolerates and even encourages debates. These debates are vigorous,
devoted to exploring issues, indifferent to rank and include individuals of
varied backgrounds.
 2. It is capable of making and accepting clear decisions, with the entire
organization then supporting the decision.
Organizations that have these characteristics are far more ready to
deal with a strategic-inflectionpoint than others.

Effective presentations (by Antony Jay and Ros Jay)  It is the process of presenting the content of a topic to audience consisting of one or more persons.  It is generally a power point file containing all the files for a given speech. 4 Steps to Giving Effective Presentations  Strategy: Formulate a strategy for the specific audience.  Structure: Develop a flexible and flowing structure.  Presentation style: How you present is as important as what you present.  Handling questions: Confident and informed responses to questions and challenges.
  • 3. Conclusion : checklists for an effective presentation  Start preparing early don’t want until the last few days to prepare.  Think about your audience.  Be clear about purpose.  Use an effective introduction.  Organize your presentation clearly and simply.  Use supporting material to support your point.  Create an effective conclusion.  Use body language effectively.  Check the physical environment in advance.  Finally, cope with stage fright by remembering that it is normal and everyone feels it.
