Zheng He, a Chinese mariner, led seven voyages between 1405-1433 spanning over 30 countries. With fleets of hundreds of ships and tens of thousands of men, his voyages aimed to showcase China's power, increase trade, and search for the lost emperor. They demonstrated China's advanced naval capabilities and strengthened relationships between China and Southeast Asia and East Africa. Zheng He's voyages represented the largest maritime expeditions in pre-modern history and highlighted China's naval power and economic influence, though they were not continued after his death.
