1. GOAL(S) – What is this event designed to accomplish? To inform students of educational
teaching opportunities, and help students get a job in the education field.
OVERVIEW OF EVENT/DETAILED AGENDA: Event will take place next semester at a
recruitment fair that the career center usually throws every semester. Different districts will bring
their different booths with information about their school, and opportunities or chance of
employment in said district.
THEME: Recruitment fairs are usually targeted at students who want an internship or job out of
high school, this recruitment fair will be targeted at all students who want a job as educators.
WHO IS INVITED? All students are invited, but will specifically benefit students who want to
be teachers.
WHERE: Fresno State, Satellite Student Union.
WHEN: March/ April 2017
COST: Free
HOW do folks buy tickets and/or RSVP? No needed, students can show up and take a look
around at all the different booths.
Giveaways: Pencils, pens, apple and letter erasers may be given to draw students to the booths.
Decorations: Booths should be decorated with projects from students in bright colors, make
boards that look like the inside of the classroom.
Entertainment/music: None needed, shouldn’t be too loud, because students will want to chat
with members of different districts and get information from them.
First aid: Provided by the school
Lighting/sound/AV equipment: None needed
Parking: Already provided for students
Photography/Video: Both Kremen and the career center can take photos and video of the event
as well as post on social media as its happening, and before the day of the event.
Refreshments: May be provided, such as coffee or lemonade
2. Registration: No need to register
Restrooms: Already provide the school, and inside the building
Room set-up: At the entrance have some balloons, and signs announcing the recruitment fair.
Make sure all booths are placed strategically to be seen, and so that students can walk comfortably
by each.
Seating: Seats should only be in the booths if somebody brings a table they should provide a table
plus two chairs district.
Security: Provided by the school
Signage: Have a few around campus, announcing the event, and where it will take place.
Staging: Both kremen and the career center should work together to coordinate the event.
Written program (will you have one? What will go in it?): Will not be having a program.
Social Media Posting Plan: Should be done by both Kremen and the Career Center, but make
sure to work together, so that they don’t post the same posts. Take as many photos to post on
Instagram, and Twitter.
PUBLICITY (How will you promote event?): Should be promoted through all social media
sites, days and maybe two weeks before. The Career Center as well as Kremen should send out an
email to all students who are majoring in the education field, and all Liberal Arts students.
Freshmen are also welcome to stop by, and take a look.
EVALUATION (How will you evaluate the event?) By taking note of all students who are
in attendance and stop by, as well as evaluating social media, how much buzz did it get? Were
there more likes, or retweets than usual, were students commenting, asking questions?
