Students will introduce themselves to the class in Spanish using Voki, an online voice tool. Each student will create their own Voki to present their name, age, birthplace, number of siblings, and names of family members. The teacher will provide a handout of necessary vocabulary using Tagzedo and go over pronunciation. The goal is for students to practice introducing themselves, vocabulary, and pronunciation in Spanish.

Lesson Title: Introductions in Spanish
Description: Students will introduce themselves to the class using their own voice with Voki. This
exercise will serve as a tool to practice pronunciation and vocabulary. Students will get to know one
another through their presentations. This will take one 49 minute class period to complete.
Objective:
Students will:
1. Introduce themselves to class in Spanish.
2. Practice pronunciation in Spanish.
3. Learn beginning vocabulary.
Materials:
-A computer for each student
-Voki.com or Voki Classroom
-Handout with necessary vocabulary on it using Tagzedo
Activities:
1. Teacher tells students to create a Voki and use their own voice to introduce and describe
themselves in Spanish to the class.
2. The teacher shows the class the basic questions they must answer in their presentations:
-Name
-Age
-Birthplace
-How many siblings in the family
-Names of family members
3. Teacher goes over the vocabulary words on the Tagzedo handout with the students.
4. Students create a Voki that answers the questions.
