 PeopleSoft 9.2 Feature Analysis: - Prior to upgrade a detailed analysis was conducted involving the Business
and Technical teams so as to evaluate thenew features of 9.2 by way of robust user testing. The testing
resulted in numerous product bugs which were reported to Oracle Product Support. Established an executive
communication channel directly with Product Management at Oracle who fixed the issues and delivered
patches on a top priority basis. Thenew features were implemented after the upgrade such as the User friendly
interface such as the Pivot Grids,, Streamlined Processes, Work Centers, Configurable wizard processes
utilizing Active guides, Dashboard reporting, Improved Workflow functionality, PUM
 PeopleSoft 9.2 Upgrade: - Report day by day progress on the Upgrade project plan, impact assessment and
change management, Communication to Executive management, Monitoring progress with Application,
Middleware and Infrastructure, conduct meetings, workshops etc.
 Continuous Process Improvement: - Implemented many new processes and streamlined the existing
processes to make Alameda County’s IT Dept.
o Issue Prioritization Process as a means to enable the ITD to see clearly which issues/projects are the

 Soumi delivered End-to-End Logical and Physical Architecture Solution design for entire Kaiser’s Financial
System.
 Responsible for Solution Design Analysis Using Conceptual, Logical and PhysicalArchitecture Diagrams and
Context Diagrams. Middleware sizing analysis for Real-time messaging, SOA and Batch Architectures.
 Soumi created the Batch Scheduling Architecture design using TWS (Tivoli Work Scheduler) created all the
parameters which need to be passed to each Process. The process gets initiated based on the Batch Schedule
setup on TWS and fire thesubsequent scripts to initiate processing in PeopleSoft GL and AP modules such the
Transformation Application Engines
 Database Storage and Sizing Analysis using average record sizeand mathematical algorithms.
 Designed a Hub based Architecture thereby consolidating many duplicate interfaces (250+ ) and getting rid of
Point-to-point interfaces across the Legacy systems. Implemented Re-Usability where possibleby re-designing
the Interfaces.
 The Integration Architecture technical design included using Data Transport, Transformation and Messaging
mechanisms like ETL (For Batch Interfaces), WMB (WebSphere Message Broker), MQ series, Web Services
and PeopleSoft’s Integration Broker (For Messaging Interfaces) .
 Soumi architected and designed the Legacy SystemRemediation mechanisms for propagating Kaiser
Permanente’s New Chart of Accounts across various Financial and Supply Chain systems.
 Wrote Complex SQLs and database triggers while syncing thedata across the databases.
 Created Single Sign-On solution design to integrate PeopleSoft Financials Voucher pages with Vignette. The
Single Sign-On PeopleCode was used to call the delivered Vignette library to create an authenticated session.
Once an authenticated session is established, user would be able to see thecorresponding Vignette image on
each PeopleSoft Voucher page for theassociated record. Soumi facilitated theArchitecture design via the
Oblix since it is theKaiser’s SSO standard.
 Soumi also acted as InfrastructureLead and created Physical Architecture Design for Kaiser Permanente
maintaining all the environments. He worked with Database Architects and helped in sizing the databases.
 Participated in requirement analysis with business analysts in Kaiser Pharmacy and gave Logical Solution
Designs for interfaces between Health Connect and EnterpriseRx. Was responsible for detailed analysis of
solution architecture while validating the pharmacy data with business processes.
 Soumi created detailed test scripts and evaluated the Production Architecture using stress testing

Middleware sizing analysis for Real-time messaging, SOA and Batch Architectures.  Soumi created the Batch Scheduling Architecture design using TWS (Tivoli Work Scheduler) created all the parameters which need to be passed to each Process. The process gets initiated based on the Batch Schedule setup on TWS and fire thesubsequent scripts to initiate processing in PeopleSoft GL and AP modules such the Transformation Application Engines  Database Storage and Sizing Analysis using average record sizeand mathematical algorithms.  Designed a Hub based Architecture thereby consolidating many duplicate interfaces (250+ ) and getting rid of Point-to-point interfaces across the Legacy systems.
