Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

- 4. Portability This laptop is portable The battery life is about 4 hours There is also a charger for the laptop. The laptop weight is about 6.8 lbs
- 5. CPU The platform for the Vaio is an Intel Centrino 2. This is extremely better than the average Intel Centrino. The Intel Centrino 2 offers a longer battery life, flexible graphics, and enhanced network connections.
- 6. Memory/ RAM The Vaio allows 6GB, DDR2 RAM 800MHz with a maximum of 8 GB. This means a lot of data can be stored on this laptop. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 / 2 GHz which means it has good quality for delivering faster performance, greater energy efficiency, and more responsive multitasking.
- 7. Hard Drive and Optical Drives The hard drive consists of about 400GB and is portable. Vaio’s optical drive includes a Blue-Ray player, DVD burner, and a built in Web camera. It also has stereo speakers, headphones/microphone jacks, a VGA-out and HDMI video, and Bluetooth antenna , and Wireless LAN antenna.
- 8. Monitors The 16.4-inch screen which Sony calls the "ultra-widescreen" has a 1,600x900-pixel native resolution, which is a 16x9 aspect ratio.

Vaio also supports flash memory cards like SD Memory Card , Memory Stick Pro , Memory Stick PRO Duo .

Software Programs Some of the software programs includes: VAIO Music Box , VAIO Movie Story , Microsoft Works 9 SE , VAIO Help and Support , VAIO Startup Assistant , Sony Click to Disc Editor 1.0 , VAIO Media Plus Multimedia Streaming Software , Norton Internet Security 2009 (30 days subscription) , Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (60 days trial). From these programs I would say the Microsoft office, Norton and any media software would be detrimental to my needs for a computer. Therefore, I would have to purchase additional software for the computer.

- 14. Technical Support Upon purchasing the Vaio, includes an industry-standard one-year parts-and-labor warranty with the system. This warranty includes technical support via phone 24 hours a day but the call is not free. The individual can indeed purchase an extended warranty however the one year warranty is automatically given upon purchasing.
- 15. Environmental Status One great quality is that the Vaio is compatible with the environmental standards of EPA Energy Star , and RoHS.
