3. Solve the inequalities just like you would an equation.
Except when you multiply or divide by a negative to solve you must
flip the inequality.

4. Solve 2x + 3 < 13
Step 1 We have to get the 3 to the Step 2 We have to divide both sides by
other side by adding opposite to both 2 to get X by itself since we are dividing
sides by a positive we do not have to flip the
2x + 3 < 13 inequality
+ -3 +-3 yielding 2x < 10
2x < 10 yields x < 5
