WHAT IS SOLID SHAPE🧐
Solid shapes, also known as solids, consist of 3 dimensions—length,
breadth, and height. They are also known as 3-D (3-Dimensional)
shapes.
These solid shapes occupy some space and are found in our day-to-
day life.
We can feel, touch, and use them.
2D stands for “Two Dimensional”.
A 2D shape has two dimensions-
Length and Breadth.
2D figures are also referred to as plane
figures or plane shapes since these
figures lie on a flat surface.
2D shapes have areas but not volume.
Straight lines make up the sides of the
2D shapes.
2D shapes are drawn using X-axes, and
Y-axes.
Ex:-Circle, Square
etc
3D stands for Three Diamensional
3D shape has 3 diamensions Length,
Breadth and deapth
We see many things around
us which are 3D like ball etc
3D shapes have both ares and volume
3D shapes are drawn using X-axis Y-axis and Z-axis
Ex :- Sphere,Cube etc ,

NETS OF SOLID SHAPE
The net of a 3D shape is what it looks like if it is opened out
flat.
A net can be folded up to make a 3D shape.
There may be several possible nets for one 3D
shape.
There are 11 nets in cube

OBLIQUE SKETCHES
The oblique sketching is a pictorial representation of an
object, in which the diagram is intended to depict the
prespective of objects in 3 dimensions.
This type of drawing can be done either in a normal, cabinet or
cavalier style.
It allows you to see the depth and orientation of the object,
which can be helpful for showing how it fits or functions in a
system.
STEPS OF DRAWING OBLIQUE SKETCHES
ISOMETRIC SKETCHES
Isometric Sketch or isometric drawing is a pictorial
representation of an object in which all 3 dimensions are
drawn at full scale.
It looks like an isometric projection. In this case, all the lines
parallel to its major axes are measurable.
An isometric drawing and a net represent the same three-
dimensional object in different ways.
