This document discusses the challenges of treating wastewater from the Nazafgarh drain, a major pollutant of the Yamuna River in Delhi, and proposes an innovative Soil Biotechnology (SBT) treatment system. The SBT approach offers a sustainable, eco-friendly solution that eliminates the need for mechanical aeration and reduces sludge generation, making it efficient and cost-effective. By implementing a 1 MLD SBT plant, the treated water can be reused, thus contributing to the protection and rejuvenation of the polluted Yamuna River.
