Pinterest is an image-focused social media platform that allows users to bookmark or "pin" images and videos to create virtual pinboards on various topics. It is a useful platform for brands to enhance their image, engage customers through visual content like infographics, and drive traffic back to their websites through pinned links and hashtags. Location-based services are popular because they allow users to show off places they have visited to their social networks, provide business with free advertising through check-ins, and encourage customer reviews and special deals to increase foot traffic.

Blog writing portfolio : Freelance writing articlesKen Bradford
A variety of educational blog posts to help freelance writers write better blog articles and other web content.
According to a recent Freelance Industry Report, the number one challenge freelance writers face is getting new clients. This report also reveals that the number 1 way most freelance blog writers get new clients is by word-of-mouth referrals. None of the 1,200 freelance writers interviewed mentioned blogging as a way of generating new leads.
It's amazing that the techniques most freelancers use to get new clients involves things that are usually out of their direct control.
A well-constructed freelance writer's blog is the best way to get new clients to come to you for several reasons, including:
● A blog allows you to establish yourself as an expert writer.
● A blog allows you to establish a foundation for being hired by displaying a portfolio.
● A blog allows you to show how you used your writing skills to grow your business.
● A blog allows you to build a solid foundation for your business by creating evergreen content that won't expire.
● A blog can supercharge the visibility of your website.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

2. About Pinterest "
- Image revolution."
- An image is worth a thousand words."
- More shareable."
- Biggest attention grabber."
- Topic/Solution oriented."
- Constant virtual catalogue. "
- A great social commerce platform. "
- Categories and segments."
- Easy bookmarking."
- Daily visual renovation. "
3. How to create a Kick ass Pinterest strategy"
1. Add a Pinterest “Follow” and/or “Pin
It” Button"
"
Add the Pin it or Pinterest button to your
pages, make it visible, let people know
youʼre there and do some cross trafficking
(remember?) It also works for the signature."
4. 2. Brands and Pinterest"
Is there any difference between
Pinterest for people and brands?
Noooo!!!! People canʼt tell the
difference between a brand page
and a personʼs page until they get
in, use that!"
"
Do some crowdsourcing: Ask users
to pin images of themselves with
your products or brand, create a
VIP board and BOOM!! "
5. 3. Grow Your Pinterest Pins and Boards
"
Become a point of reference and
consultation, pin and maintain your
boards regularly to keep your
Pinterest presence alive and well. If
you have a regular update schedule
for other platforms youʼre on, make a
point of going to Pinterest on a pre-
determined schedule to see whatʼs
being pinned by people/brands you
already follow, everything and popular
pins (ones with a high number of
likes, comments and repins). "
6. 4. How to use Pinterest?"
“Instead of posting things like their
weekly newspaper insert to advertise
sales, Whole Foods has taken the
opportunity to enhance its brand image
instead.”"
"
Enhance your brand image, make it
more versatile and fun, renew it daily."
7. 5. Link back to your websites"
Want to make sure that people can find you
online? Be sure to add links to your company
website and Twitter page on your Pinterest
profile. You can also bring users to specific
web pages by adding the URL in the pin
description."
"
And remember to use Hashtags, multiple
languages and other boards."
8. 6. Me and contributors "
Pinterest has great collaborative functionality with
the “me + contributor” posting capability where you
can allow others to contribute to your boards (note:
they must already be one of your followers to be
added)."
"
9. 7. Observe and Comment"
Observations and feedback is always
welcome on Pinterest, people like to know
that their pins are relevant and they´re
being an inspiration to others, comment
something relevant and mention the author
using @username"
"
10. 8. Create visual relevant content (Infographics are perfect here)"
This is a great platform to tell stories with
images, develop a speech using images,
easy to understand that concludes
something, people really appreciate those
and Pinterest is the best platform to do it now
days. "
11. 9. Be Useful, sales will come after that"
Remember that people buy ideas, so give them a
few, tell them how to décor their house, pimp their
car, put on some make up, be sutil but useful,
sales will come after that."
"
12. 10. Encourage people to do something with the content you´re
providing them"
Popular pins on Pinterest have three things
going for them: likes, comments and repins.
Rather than leaving it to users to decide on
their own whether to take the time to comment
on a pin, you can help create interest by asking
a question (e.g., “Guess where was this photo
taken?”, “Tell us what you think of our new
product offerings.”). Use your new pins and
boards as opportunities to converse with users
on Pinterest."
13. 5 Tips to create super shareable content on Pinterest"
1. Send a clear message: Relevant content
and Relevant captions"
2. Make sure your images are the right
format: People do not tolerate to see
horrible pixelated pics anymore."
3. Is not about you but your audience: Your
brand is not represented by 1 image but by
a group of solutions, remember that."
4. Increase traffic with contests and
giveaways."
5. Captive and create emotions, be warm
hearted and always expect: LOL, OMG,
LMAO, etc."
6. Watch trends."
7. Use hashtags and be unique. "
15. Why do we love location based services?"
- People love to show off."
- 250+MM people using LBS every month."
- Close network based on where have you
been."
- Free impressions for businesses (Visit
impressions)."
- Born on mobile."
- Deals friendly."
- Review features, remember that we love
recommendation."
"
16. Why do we love location based services?"
1. Free word of mouth"
"
Because each check-in is broadcasted to a
userʼs friends, thereʼs natural word of mouth
advertising that occurs through the site.
Marketersʼ theory is that if users see their
friends check in to a location, they may be
more likely to visit."
17. Why do we love location based services?"
2. Reviews"
"
Most location-based tools allow users to write
reviews of the places they frequent. These
reviews are then shared with other users who
check in to those locations. This can have a
real impact (either positive or negative) for
businesses hoping to be discovered by new
customers."
18. Why do we love location based services?"
3. Specials"
"
Sites like Foursquare and Facebook Places
allow businesses to run specials that are
unlocked by users who check in to their
locations. For example, a pizza place could
create a special that gives free breadsticks
to customers who check in five times. These
specials encourage frequency, first-time
visits and competition among customers.
More on this later."
"
Now letʼs compare the two major players—
Facebook Places and Foursquare."
19. Why do we love location based services?"
4. Deal Options"
"
Foursquare and Facebook Places encourage
businesses to create specials that reward users
for checking in to their locations. But options for
these specials vary slightly per site."
"
For example, as part of its “Charity Deals,”
Facebook lets businesses donate a certain
amount of money per check-in. This type of
special is not currently available through
Foursquare."
20. Why do we love location based services?"
Reach:"
"
In fact, the average Facebook user is
connected to 300 friends. This means that on
average, each Facebook Places check-in has
the potential to be seen by 300 of a userʼs
Facebook friends."
"
Foursquare users appear to have much smaller
networks, and thus a much smaller reach. The
site doesnʼt appear to disclose data about the
size of its average userʼs network. But
anecdotally, itʼs hard to find many users with
more than 50 friends, meaning that each
check-in may be seen by just a small group of
users."
