1. Social actions Task 2
Animal abuse-
I want to include writing on:
How many animals get abused per year?
How many are saved from abusive families?
How many animals have happy life’s after abuse?
What issues the abuse could create for the animal?
For this I have two ideas that I could create. One is that I could take a
photo of an animal looking sad and then write a little about the
animal saying some statistics. The second idea is to create a simple
design of an animal then write about the statistics of animal abuse.
Water-
I want to include writing on:
How many 3rd
world countries get running water
How much water is wasted in the UK on average
How much it costs to get water to 3rd
world countries
My idea for this is to show an animated image of a child walking
through a 3rd
world country with a bowl of water on their head, then
it says some statistics on water.
Healthy eating-
I want to include writing on:
How many calories you need to eat on an average day
The food groups that you need to eat everyday
The idea for this one is to show a healthy meal like a pie chart,
however each part of the meal that is meant to be what is in its place
e.g. 22% of the pie chart/plate is meat. Within each section of the
plate there is the percentage of how much the recommended intake
is.
Exercising-
I want to include writing on:
How often you should exercise

2. Different types of exercise to do
How exercising could be fun
Statistics on how many people go to the gym over exercising at home
To create a poster of two halves of a treadmill/other exercise
equipment one side it looks decrepit and abandoned and the other
shows it being use and it looking happy (it’s got a face), the tag line
would be about not making the machine sad and using it.
Pirating/downloading content-
I want to include writing on:
How many songs are downloaded per week
How downloading things effects the creator
A poster with a record disk being shown and having it being
shattered, like it had been broken, then a statistic on how many
people pirate songs.
Sweat shops-
I want to include writing on:
How old the average person that works at a sweat shop is
How much they get paid
What clothing stores use sweat shops
The conditions of the workplace
My idea is to show a broken/decrepit sewing machine that’s left in a
factory, then there should be statistics about sweat shops.
Slaughter houses-
I want to include writing on:
How many animals are slaughtered per day
The living conditions of said animals before their death
How much these animals then cost to buy in a supermarket
The process of killing the animals
The idea is to create an animated image of an animal hanging off of a
hook after being killed in a slaughter house. The colour scheme
would be blood red and black. There would then be a tagline at the

3. side of the dead animal saying something along the lines of think of
this when eating that lamb tonight.
Fish-
I want to include writing on:
How fish are caught, then sold to us to eat
How the fishing equipment left or lost in the sea can cause harm to
not only the sea animals but also the land animals
How much pain the fish are in
My idea is I want to show an animated image of a fish either caught
in a hook or a net, then the fish would be either blooded or really
pretty coloured. Then there is going to be a tag line at the bottom of
the poster saying something about that fish suffering.
