The presentation seek to balance the pros and cons of teachers befriending students on Facebook. it is not to say that teachers and students cannot be friend but allowing them to access personal information about each other forms gray areas.

- 10. As educators, and haven’t given this situation any thought, now is the time to do so. The easiest solution is to simply make it a matter of personal policy to not be Facebook friends with any student at your school. That way, no one can be offended, and you can’t be put in a position that you may later regret
