Goals for
Today
1. A peek inside Limeade and
Fitbit
2. Caring for our Customers
3. Discussion about the future
Limeade & Fitbit
• Partners for over six years
• Work together to provide people with intuitive technology, engaging activities,
and knowledge to empower themselves.
• Both organizations are pushing the boundaries to look for ways to better care
for their users and improve well-being in the world.
• Our common thread: We care about your well being
What is culture?
The collective values, norms and
beliefs of the organization
Schein, 1990
Culture is not a surface phenomenon,
it is the very core of who your organization is.
Why should we care about culture?
1. It drives behavior
2. It creates a more aligned organization
3. It helps you get better results
4. Your board is going to start caring about it
(if it doesn’t already)
5. It is uniquely yours…
it’s what makes you special

ARE PEOPLE STAYING AT HOME?
Fitbit looked at steps to find out.
• Mobility decreased as cities & states issued state-of-
emergency declarations and sharply declined
with stay-at-home orders
• Despite reports of young people not taking stay-at-home
orders seriously, mobility decreased the most for
users 18-29
• After the stay-at-home mandates, activity levels saw a
much sharper decline in New York than San Francisco,
suggesting it is harder to exercise while social
distancing in densely populated areas.

HEART HEALTH
IMPROVES
even when steps decline.
• In March, resting heart rate began to
decline across the country (lower
RHR = improvement in heart health)
• The effect nearly doubled month over
month in April
• Steps declined but Active Minutes
increased
• Sleep duration increased (longer sleep
duration leads to improved RHR)
