10. EXAMINE STUDENT WORK
What specific skills
and understandings
are our students’
strengths?
What specific skills
and understandings
pose difficulties for
our students?
What are we doing
well that we can do
more of?
(Love, Stiles,
Mundry, & DiRanna,
2008)
With Criterion Referenced testing, such as FCAT,
the student’s performance is measured based on
specific learning objectives or standards.
Criterion referenced assessments are used most
often for making decisions about instruction.
(Jones, 2014)
Criterion referenced testing is also beneficial for
diagnosing learning deficiencies. (Silver, 2014)
