the student’s performance is measured based on
specific learning objectives or standards.
 Criterion referenced assessments are used most
often for making decisions about instruction.
(Jones, 2014)
 Criterion referenced testing is also beneficial for
diagnosing learning deficiencies. (Silver, 2014)
