This document presents a project on smart switches based on IoT. The project aims to develop switches that allow controlling home appliances from anywhere using different automation techniques. This will help control appliances remotely and reduce energy wastage. The switches will use capacitive touch buttons and voice commands to operate appliances. The methodology will involve analyzing home automation methods, selecting an IoT protocol, studying microcontrollers, cloud connectivity and sensors. The proposed design connects appliances to an ESP32 microcontroller, relays, sensors and touch buttons controlled by a mobile and voice application connected to the cloud. The expected results are a user friendly, cost-effective and easily controllable smart home system. The project supports sustainable development goals around decent work, industry innovation and partnerships
