This document describes a Wi-Fi based smart home automation system developed by four students. The system allows users to control home appliances like lights and fans remotely using a smartphone app. It uses an Arduino board connected to an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module to receive control commands over Wi-Fi and switch appliances on/off. The system was tested successfully by the students and allows monitoring appliance status on a display. The document provides details of the hardware components, software methodology, testing results and concludes thanking those involved in the project.
