One of the common mistakes English speakers make when learning Spanish is pronouncing Spanish voiceless stops like "p", "t", and "k" with aspiration. This document studies whether targeted practice can help eliminate this aspiration. Nine high school students participated - five did a pronunciation exercise focusing on producing stops without aspiration, while four did not. Pre- and post-tests showed the exercise group greatly improved and eliminated aspiration, confirming the hypothesis. In contrast, the control group showed almost no change from pre- to post-test.
