It aims to show ways in which implementing this classroom action by school teachers can lead to better effectiveness in the teaching and learning process.
The research questions of the study are:
1. How can we make classroom action research a culture among the teachers in a school
2. What is the basic mechanism that can be implemented
3. What are the responses of teachers towards the concept of classroom action research
4. What are the ways in which CAR can lead to professional self-development
The research involved 200 primary school teachers district and questionnaires combined with observation, interviews and document analysis were utilized together with triangulation to gather the data needed. The major findings of the research will show as well its implications for teacher education and their professional self-development. It concludes that CAR can raise teacher’s awareness of important aspects in the teaching and learning process and that it can lead to a higher level of professional self-development.

Not wanting to escalate the situation, the teacher ignores the comment. A few minutes later, the teacher sees Amanda grab a piece of pink paper out of Miguel’s hands. Miguel begins to cry. The teacher intervenes by asking Amanda to apologize to Miguel for hurting his feelings.
Scenario 2: When dropping off his daughter at the day care center, a father approaches the coordinator with a complaint. "My daughter tells me that she is getting picked on by some of the other children because of the way she speaks. They call her a baby. Now, she doesn’t want to come here in the morning." He is clearly upset. The coordinator responds by stating, "I have not seen or heard any of this happen to your child. You know, we spend a great deal of time talking to the children about how to respect each others’ differences. We have a very accepting environment here. There is really no need for you to worry. I’m sure it will all work itself out."

What is Action Research?

Key aspects include framing problems systemically, controlling progress and collecting evidence as plans are implemented, and institutionalizing what is learned at each cycle to inform future iterations. The goal is to accomplish continuous learning and improvement.

4) Feedback of diagnostic findings to the client to identify organizational strengths and weaknesses.
5) Joint planning of actions for change based on the diagnosis and resources. Evaluation of results then feeds back into the process to guide further action.

Scenario 1: While children are working on an art project in the classroom, the teacher overhears Amanda say, "Boys can’t use the pink paper!" Not wanting to escalate the situation, the teacher ignores the comment. A few minutes later, the teacher sees Amanda grab a piece of pink paper out of Miguel’s hands. Miguel begins to cry. The teacher intervenes by asking Amanda to apologize to Miguel for hurting his feelings.
Scenario 2: When dropping off his daughter at the day care center, a father approaches the coordinator with a complaint. "My daughter tells me that she is getting picked on by some of the other children because of the way she speaks. They call her a baby. Now, she doesn’t want to come here in the morning." He is clearly upset. The coordinator responds by stating, "I have not seen or heard any of this happen to your child. You know, we spend a great deal of time talking to the children about how to respect each others’ differences. We have a very accepting environment here. There is really no need for you to worry. I’m sure it will all work itself out."
Use the follow questions to address each scenario:
· How effectively did the early childhood professional respond to the given situation? Where do the responses fall short? Identify references and examples from the reading to support your ideas.
· What might the early childhood professional have said or done to improve the quality of the interactions and better promote an anti-bias learning environment?
