A Narrative Report on the SLAC about Empowering Teachers with 21st
Century Skills
Through ICT
Our School Lale Elementary School conducted SLAC about Empowering Teachers with
21st Century Skills Through ICT. This topic is very timely because nowadays technologies are
important. Teachers must be equipped enough in digital technologies as well as the students.
The SLAC started with a prayer with multi-media presentation and followed with
singing of Philippine National Anthem conducted by Ma’am Cheryl N. Degracia. Next was the
Opening Remarks was given by our School Head. The Facilitator this aforementioned activity
was Ma’am Roca Joyce C. Permejo, our School ICT Coordinator.
In her discussion, she emphasized that students and teachers must have sufficient access
to digital technologies and internet in their classrooms, schools and teacher education institutions.
And also, Teachers must have the knowledge and skills to use the new digital tools and resources to
help all students achieve high academic stands.
After the discussion, the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and to give
reactions in relation to the topics discussed. And the facilitators were very much willing to
answer their questions.
The activity ended at exactly 4:00 PM in the afternoon.
