                                                               for 2nd Quarter

                                                             During 2nd Quarter, the students will be working
                                                        on functional and persuasive texts as well as the
                                                         elements of literature. Also, to boost testing
                                                         vocabulary, students were given two copies of the
                                                          new vocabulary list for 2nd Quarter to study at school
                                                          and home. These vocabulary words will also be
                                                    part of their 2nd Quarter grade. The English Language
                                                       Learners (ELL) class will also cover these Standards

The students will be choosing science fair project topics in
the first 3 weeks of the quarter. I am excited for them as
they embark on this journey of self- directed learning.
