SISTec Gandhi Nagar and Ratibad Campuses welcomed Expert Speaker Dr.
Samuel Johnson K (Assistant Director, Center of Training and Learning, Vellore
Institute of Technology, AP) for a Two-Day Faculty Empowerment Programme
wherein he majorly focused on Hybrid and Blended Learning in Higher Education.
During these two days, the Speaker covered points like Pedagogy,
Andragogy, Heautagogy followed by insights into Motivation in Uncertainty and
how Online Skills Development can be beneficial for Placements. He further
talked about the importance of Social Media in Higher Education, how they can
build Digital Footprint in Teaching as well as Learning. He even gave details on
how faculties can create Budget Recording Studios, and use open-source tools
for Online Learning, Educational Technology, and SMAC in Education.

SISTec Ratibad Campus hosted the RGPV State Level Chess Tournament for
Men and Women with 60+ participants from Bhopal, Indore, Rewa, Jabalpur, Gwalior,
Ujjain, and Sagar Nodal.
Dr. Manju Singh (Dean, Student Welfare, RGPV Bhopal) graced the Inaugural
Ceremony as the Chief Guest. The event started with a welcoming address from Dr.
Manish Billore (Principal, SISTec Ratibad) for all participants and their coaches,
encouraging them to promote the skill of chess on a larger scale. The ceremony
ended with the declaration of the event by Dr. Manju Singh after which the players
proceeded for their matches.
The two-day event saw some thrilling matches and upon the conclusion of the
event, an Award Distribution Ceremony was organized to felicitate the winners and
participants with certificates and trophies. Mr. Abhishek Dixit and Ms. Rimsha Khan
from Bhopal Nodal bagged the First Prize in the tournament.

The Industry Institute Partnership Cell, SISTec Ratibad and Madhya Pradesh
Council of Science & Technology, Bhopal jointly organized an “Intellectual Property
Rights (IPR) Awareness Session” through YouTube Live Stream under the National
Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM).
The session was headed by Expert Speaker Dr. Ajay Thakur (Assistant
Controller, Patents & Design, Govt. of India, Mumbai) with Special Guest Dr. N. K.
Choubey (Head of Patent Information Centre, MPCST, Bhopal). During the session,
the speakers gave exhaustive knowledge regarding copyrights, patents, and
trademarks. The speakers also provided the necessary steps one should take right
from the ideation stage to the implementation stage while applying for Intellectual
Property.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Sagar Institute of Science
Technology & Engineering (SISTec-E) organized the “International Power Innovation
Conclave” through YouTube live streaming. The IPIC-2022 was a panel discussion-
based event with themes of Renewable Energy, Robot & Drones Technologies. The
expert speakers discussed three important modern technologies in a single-day
program.
Dr. Tripta Thakur (Director General, NPTI) was the special guest and keynote
speaker for the event. Present along as expert speakers were Dr. G. S. Tomar
(Chairman IEEE, MP Sub-Section), Dr. Chandra Shekhar Malvi (Ph.D., LEADS, UK), Dr.
Shailendra Rajput (Research Associate, Ariel University, Israel), Dr. Shriram
Vasudevan (Project Manager, L&T), Dr. Abhishek Sharma (Research Scientist, Ariel
University, Israel) and Mr. Ankit Muley (Co-Founder, Infinity Research).

The Student Activity Council organized "Prastuti 2.0" — Presentation
Competition on trending topics of Applications of Transistors; Hologram Technology;
Revolutionary Technologies during the COVID Pandemic; Internet of Things; Artificial
Intelligence; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Blockchain Technology; Data Mining;
and more. It was a really informative event with open discussions on the trending
technologies, the audience also got deeply involved during the event with inquisitive
Q&A sessions.
After careful consideration and exhaustive judgments on various parameters
such as communication, language & grammar, presentation style, dialogue delivery,
and design of the presentation, Team No. 9 consisting of Mr. Anand Patel and Mr. Harsh
Joshi from the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering was declared as the Winning
Team. Mr. Harsh Joshi also received the award for Best Presenter.

The Student Activity Council and National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit jointly
organized a storytelling and poetry recitation event on the occasion of National
Youth Day to highlight the youths who are the future of our country and to
commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was
positively received by the students and saw great entries on youth empowerment
and nationalism.

enthusiasm. All the faculties and staff
gathered at Football Ground to fly kites,
engaged in contests trying to cut each
other's strings at the tunes of 'Kai Po
Che'.

The Tricolour was hoisted and the National Anthem was sung with full
patriotism at SISTec Ratibad Campus in the presence of the Principal, all Heads of
Departments, faculty members, students, and staff on the occasion of 73rd
Republic Day.
The celebration for this year was hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Dept
witnessing a number of enthralling cultural performances by the students and
staff, reinvigorating the nationalism within all present.
