What did we learn today

• (1) The “Open Manufacturing Campus” concept
• Who likes the concept ?
• (2) Re-use of existing assets ! (carry over)
• Flexibility  hardware & software (reconfigurable machine tools)
• Do SME’s that already for a long time ?
• (3) The central control room !
• Overall supervision instead of machine supervision !
• (4) Driver-less robots/cars
• Autonomous machines !
• Will become our companies driver-less ?
• (5) Manufacturing is world-wide and complex
• Complexity management and right organizational structures within
networked factories !
• (6)….
