This document discusses composting toilets as a feasible alternative to traditional sewage systems. Composting toilets take human waste and turn it into nutrient-rich fertilizer through an aerobic composting process, preventing pollution from waste products and conserving water by not requiring flushing. Proper management of the compost pile through aeration, maintaining the right carbon to nitrogen ratio, size, and moisture level results in safe and effective waste treatment that produces a end product suitable for use as fertilizer.
