The document discusses integrating web-based content from Scirus into Scopus. Scirus indexes over 430 million documents from the scientific web while Scopus indexes over 30 million peer-reviewed literature documents. A federated search was implemented to allow searching across both databases. References from patents and grey literature were also extracted and linked to bibliographic records in Scopus to show citations between different information sources. The integration process faced challenges due to different systems and data formats but achieved high precision and recall rates in an evaluation.
