- 3. Goals Upon Joining Reduce 33 to 66 million metric tons of carbon dioxide Reduce 200,000 tons of nitrogen oxide per year by 2012 by improving the environmental performance of our freight operations.
- 4. Environmental Responsibility Carbon dioxide is the most common greenhouse gas, and nitrogen oxide is an air pollutant that contributes to smog. By joining SmartWay Transport Partnership, ShipCarsNow demonstrates its strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility.
- 5. Taking Advantage Of Rail Transport "As part of Union Pacific, we are helping used car shippers to take advantage of rail transport, which is almost four times more fuel efficient that truck," said Jeff Grandstaff, general manager.
