2. Objectives
* To learn about signal and their type.
* To understand the concept of signals stability.
* To check the signal stability.
3. Stable and unstable signal
A System is said to be bounded -input, bounded-output
(BIBO) Stable system if and only if every bounded input
Produces a bounded output.
What is bounded Signal?
A Signal whose magnitude is always a finite value.
1x(n)1≤M
4. Example bounded signal
Step Signal
Sine wave signal
Impulse Signal
Decaying exponential Signals
7. Definition of signal
A signal is define as a time varying physical phenomenon
which conveys information.
Example;
Electrical signal, computer signal, voice signal, video
signal. Signal are expressed mathematical y as a function
of one or more independent variable.
8. Type of signal
Signals are classified into the following
categories:
Continuous Time and Discrete Time Signals.
Deterministic and Non-deterministic Signals.
Even and Odd Signals.
Periodic and Aperiodic Signals.
Energy and Power Signals.
Real and Imaginary Signals.
